OpenStudy (anonymous):

two fair dice are thrown, one red and one blue. what is the probability that the red die has a score that is strictly greater than the score of the blue dies? why is this probability less than 0.5? what is the complement of this event?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

easiest way to do this is to use a two way table and look at the sample space |dw:1378755380433:dw| then there are 36 possible pairings of red and blue. count the ticks.... this is where red is strictly larger than blue the rest of the question should become reasonably obvious
