Your goal here is to isolate all of the x's. To do that you have to reverse what was already done to them.
Since there's only a 2x on the right side, its probably easiest to move all of the x's over there.
The term in parentheses is multiplied by the three, so its easiest to start by distributing that into the parentheses, giving you
-3x -9 = 2x
Now you can add 3x to both sides, giving you
-9=5x
you would then divide the -9 by 5 and that gives you your answer.
