OpenStudy (erinweeks):
(x-1)^2 + (y-5)^2 > 9
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
first graph the corresponding equality
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
(x-1)^2 + (y-5)^2 = 9
wat kind of curve this equation represents ?
OpenStudy (erinweeks):
@ganeshie8 i honestly i have no idea graphs are one thing i have no idea about i never understood them
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
its okay :) graphs are tricky.... they take some time for us to get comfortable wid :)

just remember this blindly,
\((x-h)^2 + (y-k)^2 = r^2\) represents a circle
OpenStudy (erinweeks):
i hate graphs :(
OpenStudy (erinweeks):
and okay ill try!
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
lol im ex-hater too ;)

our present equation
\((x-1)^2 + (y-5)^2 = 9 \)
first glanxe, it looks like the circle equation, i was familiar wid. so i realize that its a circle, with center at (1, 5) and radius of 3
ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):
having that knowledge, i draw a coordinate plane, and draw the circle at center (1, 5)
