(2/3)p=(1/2)P+(1/3) solve for P

OpenStudy (zpupster):

\[2/3p =(1/2)P + 1/3\] The object is to get P on one side of the equation. we accomplish this by doing the same operation to both sides of the equation. first you add or subtract. what can add or subtract to this equation to start to get P by itself??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind 4p = 3p +2 I was dumb i forgot what to do lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

P=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and you could just multiply 6 to each side to remove the fraction

OpenStudy (zpupster):

ok you now have re written the variable is it supposed to be both small p

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup, its pretty basic algebra i just forgot to remove the fractions, their my weak point.

OpenStudy (zpupster):

ok
