9-4x less than or equal to 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[9-4x \le 1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you want to solve for x right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok then we can do it more than one way. I rather not deal with multiplying negative so im going to add 4x to both sides. this is what you get. \[9−4x≤1 \]\[9−4x+4x≤1+4x\]\[9≤1+4x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now subtract 1 to both sides and you end up with \[9-1≤4x \]\[8≤4x \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now all you have to do is divide both sides by 4....can you tell me what we get after dividing both sides by 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 less equal to x??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I ment 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you are correct its going to be \[2≤x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good job...dont forget to give me thumbs up!!
