Which of the following are true statements? Check all that apply. A. DE can also be called ED . B. DEF can also be called EFD. C. ABC can also be called CBA. D. DE can also be called ED.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A and B. D is a ray and C is the Point in the middle of a line that can not be switched with the end points.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so would it be c and d? or just c

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

Is there a figure? For example, for A., how do we know what DE is? Is it a line, a ray, a segment, or an arc? What about B. What are DEF and EFD. Are they angles, triangles, or arcs? There is a lot of missing information to be able to answer this question correctly.

My cousin had the same problem, and she had a figure.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B and C are arc, D is ray, and A is line

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

A. A line can be named by any two points on it. Line DE is the same as line ED. B. An arc is named by its endpoints in either order. To name a major arc, a point on the arc in between the other points can be used. C. See B. D. A ray is a part of line. It starts at a point on the line, the endpoint, and goes on forever in one direction. In the naming of a ray, the endpoint is always the first point mentioned.
