What is the power in a circuit that has a current of 12 A and a resistance of 100 Ω? I need just an explanation on how to do it, I basically just need to know how exactly those variables fit into the equation P = i^2R I'm sure it's simple conversion, I just am not sure how the amps relate to i?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

\(P = I^2R\) \(I\) = current \(R\) = resistance

I understand, but are they referring to Amps or Watts?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Watts is Power Amps is Current

Thanks ;3

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np :)
