@countonme123 Suppose you buy a CD for $200 that earns 3% APR and is compounded quarterly. The CD matures in 2 years. How much will this CD be worth at maturity? A. $206.07 B. $212.32 C. $204.04 D. $202.01
you cant figure this one seriously?
3 percent of 200 is 6 bucks 2 years at 6 bucks adds up to be 212 but since it compounds quarterly there will be some extra change so B 212.32
i thought i had to do the rule 72
no we are not doubling here
ooo ok so its only if were doubling
@countonme123 Having seen at least 2 dozen problems posted by divagirl421, I continue to be disappointed that this poster has not ever, not even once, shown one spec of personal effort or work. Oddly, the poster does manage to ask an occasional reasonable question. Normally, it's just "How did you do that?" in an effort to get you to show the work rather than demonstrate any personal effort. Still, this poster seems to be progressing in some way. I'm not sure why or how, since there is utter refusal to post any personal work. So, if you can manage to get some work shown, I'd be delighted. I also suspect, if we can get some work shown, this poster would progress even faster and more effectively. So far, I have been unable to motivate any such action. My views. I welcome others'.
um i have hes been helping me and showing me how to do certain problems so idc what you say -.-
and i have been showing my work in certain problems he shows me and then if i see i have one similar i try to do it on my own but still ask him if im doing it right so can you stop harassing me like im not doing my work
@tkhunny i try my best to help plain and simple
No, you are just trying to bait someone else into showing the work for you. You cannot possibly believe this was a doubling problem. The highest choice on there is $212ish. From $200 it is not even a reasonable error. Your "doubling" and "rule of 72" question was designed to be refuted so that countonme123 would provide the answer and the work. Still, you somehow knew that the Rule of 72 was used for doubling. You KNOW things. Why do you not SHOW things?! It is a great mystery. You COULD solve the mystery simply by showing your own work. I have said nothing concerning you DOing your own work. I have mentioned ONLY that you do not share it with those who would and could help you FAR BETTER if you would show your work. Your studies would improve if you would show your work in this forum and allow yourself to receive specifically beneficial guidance.
Trying to help is important. Not actually helping can be very subtle.
Wow bro why you gotta be like that? *Reported
smh i do try you been harassing for weeks now leave me alone!
idk why im arguing with you your irrelevant bye :P
Like what? Your efforts are not the problem. You do excellent work and the things you do can be of great benefit. However, if you're just writing camera-ready work for someone to copy down, are you helping that person? It's just not always clear. That's all I'm saying.
camera-ready work for someone to copy down wth?
I'm just hoping you will show your work. For someone who seems to know quite a bit, I am fascinated and baffled that you refuse to do so.
who said i know quite a bit?
um he helps me so you seriously need to stop he shows me how to do the question because i do not understand isnt that what OPENSTUDY is for ? to help those who can hep themselves dissapper @tkhunny
Sorry, forgot to tag. Diva - for someone who knows quite a bit. Count - You are very helpful and I liked your initial approach on this post.
unlike you @tkhunny @countonme123 actrully help people and dont make them feel stupid cause they dont know!
ur definitely dismissed!
I'll leave it at this. Diva - You DO know. You just won't share. It is an amazing thing.
@tkhunny As frustrating as this sounds, we as the helpers are not permitted when to tell the learner they have learned the problem. The only thing we can do is no longer help them. You doing so is kinda rude. I am not trying to get on you. Basically what I am saying is if you do not want to help please don't hurt.
lmaooo bye @tkhunny i have nuthing to prove to you cause you was never my tutor :)
counton - Interesting philosophy. I tend to think that someone asking for help is not in a position to dictate the sort of help received. If you submit yourself to a professional educator, you should rely on the professional judgment of the educator. You are both right on this one, though. Not sure why I've had a bee in my bonnet for divagirl. I'll try to calm down. I do wish diva would show some work, though.
I am not a professional educator. My help is freely given for the joy of helping others.
Are you kidding me? Have you seen your work? You should be. Anyway, thanks for your fortitude. I see that I have been over-emphasizing principle #2 at the expense of principle #1 from the code of conduct, as least where divagirl is concerned. I'll go take a deep breath.
anywayssss @countonme123 thanks or your help with this question:)
