OpenStudy (anonymous):

What affect will adding sugar have on the viscosity of water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@uri do you know?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

increase in viscosity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know the steps? @aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

steps of what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it will have more stuff in it there for making the velocity higher right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea I know that but how would I write that in the observation? @jjedmkmv

OpenStudy (aaronq):

the observation is an increase in viscosity (a higher resistance to flow)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what observations are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so if you did that how would you see it?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

the meaning of the word? yes, the observation would be a higher resistance to flow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would it be combining until you cant see it anymore

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is pretty much what they are asking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the sugar will dissolve and u end up with sugar water

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you're describing density, not viscosity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but you just say that in a scientific way and make it descriptive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq you are seriously confusing me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would I do that @jjedmkmv

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you think your doing it right then explain what you would see while adding the sugar and when its in the water.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

it would obviously dissolve, but that observation doesn't address the viscosity parameter.
