Why is momentum in frame of reference of centre of mass zero? Can somebody explain me with formula? Thanks.

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

Simply because in the definition, it is stated that the centre of mass of the system must be fixed in this frame of reference. As total momentum = total mass x velocity of centre of mass, then momentum of the system is zero.
