Two cards are drawn in succession without replacement from a standard deck of 52 cards. What is the probability that the first card is a face card (jack, queen, or king) given that the second card is an eight?

I found this. Does it seem right? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091110035852AAM4mBc

I tried out the decimal answers that I gained from the fraction answer given, but it was incorrect.

i am going to make a guess that it makes no difference what the second card is imagine reaching in with two hand rather than one, and picking two cards the probability that the first one is a face card is still \(\frac{12}{52}\)

i could be wrong i assume this is a bayes formula problem

Most of the websites I've looked at so far give similar answers. 12/52 face cards and 4/51 cards of eight Multiply Divide .0180995475... 1.81%
