Physics: How do I show that the F acting on a particle moving in a circular path is always directed towards the origin? From what I understand I have to derive F using second derivative of the position vector and mass. How to show that it is pointing to the origin though? Also, what does it mean F is conservative?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's called centripetal force.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

I know that much.

OpenStudy (callisto):

Please post your question in the Physics group. Thanks! http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Physics

Yeah dude you're in the wrong section.

OpenStudy (wolfe8):
