How do you solve... Find the measure of an angle if its supplement measures 10 more then three times its complement.

OpenStudy (agent0smith):

Call the angle x. It's complement is: 90-x (complementary angles add up to 90): |dw:1379829282350:dw| it's supplement is: 180-x since supplementary angles add to 180 |dw:1379829368846:dw| its supplement measures 10 more then three times its complement: supplement = 3*complement + 10 which is, using the supplementary and complementary angles above.... \[\Large 180-x = 3(90-x) + 10\]

So the answer would be 50?

Good job :)
