given f(x)= 1/(x-1) and g(x) = 1/(x+4). find the domain for (f of g)(x).

hero (hero):

@studygeek15, did you find \(f(g(x))\) ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, didn't realize i had left my computer up. yeah i had got (-x-3)/(x+4).

hero (hero):

Do you have any ideas of what the restrictions on the domain might be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is not equal to -4?

hero (hero):

Is that the only restriction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x is not equal to to -3

hero (hero):

Standby....

hero (hero):

That should be it, I just need to check something with x = 1

hero (hero):

Yes, as far as restrictions on the domain \(x \ne -4\) and \(x \ne -3\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thanks
