Why was the movement of goods and troops an intricate part of the spread of Islam?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@djcool31 @ganeshie8 @thomaster @tohyongcheng @sexygirl7400 @Yttrium @maegan001 @nubeer @austinharding @AngelWilliams16 @lulu22 @ologras

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which movement is this Gecko? If you know..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it about the spreading of India?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Any movement really

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Spreading of Islam. @sisco0123

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay... Well Arab's would trade goods such as spices, gold, and things to India.. And the Merchants would sail all the way to Arab territories and Indian territories. When this happened Arabic people began to transfer there religion to Indian territories. And then afterwards they developed a mosque in India which was made by the first Muslim Indian, they kept on trading goods and kept bringing more of there religion to India which spreaded Islamic religion all over Indian territory

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I hope that helps... The hard part about it, was that they would often get stopped by rouges or have to go through passes if they traveled on land. If on boat they would have to travel through sometimes harsh waters.. that's all I know..

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Well troops helped because they invaded places to help spread Islam. "The Muslim Empire developed well-organized and efficient systems that allowed it to thrive and become prosperous. Trade extended from northern Africa to southern Europe and into parts of Asia. The help of a single currency, universal banking system, and common language – Arabic, contributed to unifying the empire both politically and economically."

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Hope this helped a little? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes! They both helped tremendously!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If your talking about Africa then snow is right :P

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Ha ok and you're welcome!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One more question: In what way did the Byzantine Empire constitute a continuation of the Roman Empire?

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Well what do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand this really because Byzantine Empire IS the Roman Empire...

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

No because the East was the Byzantine Empire and the West was the Roman Empire.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Byzantine Empire took over and Became the Roman Empire... Technically it is the Roman Empire just different names.

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

NOOOO! Omg I take world history and the Roman Empire and Byzantine Empire were completely separate empires!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait..

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

ven had there own official languages and official religions and everything!!

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

They

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really dont understand it either. History is my weak subject.

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Ha history and english are my strongest so I know what I'm talking about

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind Snow is right, I was thinking who controlled lands... Byzantine Empire controlled part of rome and Roman empire did too..

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, but, how did the Byzantine Empire constitute a continuation of the Roman Empire?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Put it this way Gecko, Roman Empire controlled all of the Western areas. and then Byzantine continued it by developing it on the East areas

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That makes more sense put like that lol

OpenStudy (snowxangel):

Yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So while Roman Empire controlled from the Atlantic Ocean to half of the Mediterranean Sea, it was divided.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, basically the Byzantine Empire was an Eastern Roman Empire?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Afterwards the Byzantine Empire controlled the other half from the Middle of the Mediterranean sea to the end of the Black Sea and the Tigris river

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah pretty much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, that makes sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks guys!
