I've been struggling with this question all day yesterday! Please help me! Combine like terms to simplify the expression: 7x + 3y – 2 + 6x – 1 – y2 A. –y2 + 3y + 13x – 3 B. –2y3 + 13x – 3 C. –3y3 + 13x2 – 3 D. –y2 + 3y + 42x2 –3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you just have to arrange them first into unknowns and numbers: -y²+3y+7x+6x-2-1 then just add or subtract those with the same unknowns or numbers: -y²+7y+13x-3 so it's a :)

thanx

oh by the way, if the unknowns have an exponent, you can't combine it with those without even though the letters are the same :3
