This is a VERY EASY Question. I Know it, but I am confused! Algebra I, Linear Functions?

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

A relation is a. the output (y) values of the relation b. the input (x) values of the relation c. a set of points that pair input values with output values d. x and y values written in the form (x, y)

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

I think it is C...

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

A relation is a set

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

But I am not very sure about the whole "set of points"

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

So it could be a set of points?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

you are correct

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

yes but there is no reason that MUST be (x,y)

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

I think you are asking why it is not d?

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

Oh, okay. Just wanted to clarify. I know why it can't be D, because relations can be represented in several ways including on a coordinate plane, mapping, x/y graph.

OpenStudy (kewlgeek555):

I was just confused because I know a relation can be a set, but I didn't know if it was necessarily a set all the time or if it is a set of points. Thanks @zzr0ck3r
