Please someone help me with the second part of this question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6.2 gives me wrong answer

OpenStudy (mertsj):

6.2<=x<=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is what I thought but I get the wrong answer for the 6.2

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Check the directions for reporting the answer. Maybe it is supposed to be the nearest inch or something.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, all the sirections for the problem are included in the screenshot =(

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Maybe there are some directions at the beginning.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

How many chances do you get?

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Oh. I see. You have <=6.2 It should be >=6.2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

As many chances as I need, and no there are non at the beggining. The sign is correct and so is the 10, if you look at the problem I got a point for the sign being correct and 10 being correct but 6.2 is the wrong value.

OpenStudy (mertsj):

Then try 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did and 7 to make sure you do not round up

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Perhaps it wants an exact value.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

56/9 might be worth trying.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Too bad it did not say, "To the nearest hundredth," or something along those lines. Without that, rounding at different values and the exact answer are about all the choices you have.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

56/9 worked thank you

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Well, now you know how much they wanted it rounded... hehe. not at all! =) have fun!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Mertsj thanks
