find the second derivative if y=6cscx I need help finding the second derivative. I believe that the 1st derivative is -6(cscxcotx) Could you help me find the 2nd step by step.

OpenStudy (loser66):

what is the first derivative of it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not sure but I think that it is -6cscxcotx. The problem gave me the function y=6cscx and just asked me to find the second derivative

OpenStudy (loser66):

ok, you are right., so, y' = -6 csc (x) cot x y" = (-6 csc (x) cot x)' just apply product rule, what is hard?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay would it be: -6[(cscx)(-csc^2x)+(cotx)(-cotxcscx) = 6csc^3x+(6cot^2x)(cscx) I am unsure of what to do with the -6

OpenStudy (loser66):

I am lazy to figure out, you read it by yourself http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%286csc+x%29%22

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ummmm okay thanks for your help

OpenStudy (loser66):

don't want it? hehehe... I am sorry,

OpenStudy (loser66):

you want me here to guide you step by step? it waste, friend, short answer for 6: if you want , treat it as a variable and take derivative of it (=0) . or treat it as a constant, let it at very first position, then [ calculate here....] then time it back to term by term in the bracket
