I need help checking this homework and making sure the answer is correct and accurate! :D I also need help with #5 (Parallel, Perpendicular, Slope, Y-int, Slope - Intercept Form) Medal will be rewarded for your patronage! :D

OpenStudy (firejay5):

for 1 and 2, you gave an example of a line parallel and a line perpendicular. however, they only wanted to know what the slope of "a line" would be only m in y = mx + b answer to 1 is 4/5 i don't think the answer to 2 is (-1/2) ill check it out for 5 you'll have to either graph them all, of put them all in the same form to be able to compare them.. they just want to know. a is parallel to b for example or whatever

3, 4, and 6 correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes about 3, 4 and 6 the slope for 2 is (1/2) . however the line (1/2)x + 1 is not perpendicular to -2x + 1. the slopes however are correct but not the y-intercepts

OpenStudy (firejay5):

@Hero What's the correct answer for 1 and 2 in equation/ slope - y-int form

OpenStudy (phi):

For questions 1 and 2, all you need to give is the slope

OpenStudy (phi):

Q 3 is correct... you gave the correct equation

OpenStudy (phi):

Q 4 you should find the slope between points A and B and the slope between points B and C

OpenStudy (phi):

for Q 5, they want you to find the equations of each line in slope intercept form y = mx +b that way you can see that some of the lines are parallel and some are perpendicular to the given line

OpenStudy (phi):

your answer to Q6 sounds ok
