Okay this one is a bruiser so be prepared to type please... This year on his birthday, John will be two years older than three times Sue's current age. If the sum of their ages will be 74 on John's birthday, how old is Sue now? @dmezzullo

So...ill try this myself...then you can yell at me for my obvious mistakes...If john will be 2 years older times 3 of sue...the sum of there ages are 74? so if i take 74 and subtract 2 and get 72...then i can divide it by 4 and get 18...So if i take 18 and multiply that by 3 and get 54 then add 2 and get 56 then thats john's age and sue is 18?

It's a bit messy (my opinion) but, you got the correct answer :)
