Im going to be away for a couple of minutes, if one of you can please tell me the answer and how you got it in an explanation i would greatly appreciate it.

hartnn (hartnn):

to get f+g (x) just add the functions f(x) and g(x)

hartnn (hartnn):

like if f(x)=x^2 and g(x) =sin x then (f+g) (x) will be just x^2 +sin x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it sqrt 12x?

hartnn (hartnn):

not actually, adding under sqrt sign is not allowed \(\huge \sqrt a+\sqrt b\ne \sqrt {a+b}\)

hartnn (hartnn):

so, your answer will be just \(\large \sqrt{6x+9}+\sqrt{6x-9}\) thats it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay makes sense, thank you!

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome ^_^
