Read the following passage and answer the question below: Hola, soy Selena y mi clase favorita es matemáticas. El maestro de mi clase se llama Señor Triángulo. Señor Triángulo es cómico y simpático. En la clase de matemáticas necesito un papel, un lápiz y un libro grande. Why does Selena like her math class?
a) Necesita un papel y un lápiz. b) Necesita un lápiz y un libro grande. c) El maestro se llama Señor Triángulo. d) El maestro es cómico y simpático y es su clase favorita.
I am assuming that this is Spanish for Spanish Speakers, but I am going to translate it anyways: Hi, my name is Selena and my favorite class is mathematics. My male teacher of math is named Mr. Triángulo. Mr. Triángulo is funny and sympathetic*. In math class, I need a pencil, a paper, and a big book. Why does Selena like her math class? a. She needs a paper and a pencil b. She needs a pencil and a big book. c. The teacher is named Mr. Triángulo d. Mr. Triángulo is funn and sympathetic* and math is her favorite class Now, do you think you would like a class just because you need a paper, a pencil, or a big book? I don't think so. Would you like a class if your teacher had a rare and funny name? I don't think so. So, D would be the proper answer because she likes math because the teacher is sympathetic* and funny, and because it is her favorite class. So D. *simpático generally means sympathetic, but is also often used as someone that is happy or joyful. I remember when I took Spanish class, everyone would just say happy instead of sympathetic. BTW: I think I took this class. Is this Spanish for Spanish Speakers I with FLVS/OCVS? I took this class - the first and only one to take it actually, in 2012-2013 school year.
It's actually Spanish 1 for FLVS! Also thank you very much!!
Well, it's MNPSVS but we use the same curricular as FLVS.
Spanish I? I skipped that! I actually took Spanish for Spanish Speakers, which I think is a 12th Grade Class in 8th grade. So, because college looks for sequence, I had to take Spanish II, even though Spanish II is way too easy - I mean, I did the ultimate Spanish class in eigthth grade. Oh well. But if you evere need help, just ask. I am one of the people that are more active here. You can also ask @InYourHead - another person who is active here. You can also message. ;]
Ah, thank you! Also, wow that is very impressive. I'm terrible in Spanish, but I was worse in French, so I just stuck with Spanish. I've had Spanish classes since like 6th grade, but it was just basic stuff.
Well, it is always the best to learn the second most common language of your country - which in this case Spanish. My goal is that after I do Spanish III next year, I will do French, or at least something with latin roots like Spanish. I actually wanted to do Latin, but nobody speaks Latin, but if I learn Latin - which is very hard, it will be easier to learn languages with latin roots. But there is only Latin, French, and Chinese, so I'll go with french. Bonjour Madame.
