Which of the following points satisfies the inequality 2x - 3y < 1? (-2, 1) (, 0) (2, -1)

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

First of all, you missed a number in the second coordinate. Second of all, you can always plug them is and see if the equation is satisfied :) Try that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(1/2, 0) thats what the second one is

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Alright so just put the values into the equation and see :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put the equations where

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Ok so in a coordinate like those, the first number is the x value, the second is the y value. So you just put them into the inequality 2x - 3y < 1

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Try each set of coordinate and see which one satisfies the inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh its the first one

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

Yup ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

aha thanks i learned something new ^-^

OpenStudy (wolfe8):

No problem. That is the best that can happen compared to you just knowing the answer.
