OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

can someone please explain how to graph y=sin x -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is just the sin graph shifted down one in the y direction.

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

okay, so instead of the graph ending at -1, it would be ending at -2?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

graph sin(x), then give it a vertical shift of -1 y = A ( Bx + C ) + D D = vertical shfit, D >0, up, D < 0, down

OpenStudy (softballgirl372015):

okay. thanks for you help!! :)
