Given a circle with a radius of 6, what is the length of an arc measuring 60°?

OpenStudy (joannablackwelder):

S=r(theta) when theta is in radians, S is arc length, and r is radius. 60 degrees *(pi/180) gives pi/3 radians. So, 6*(pi/3) =2pi=S.

OpenStudy (wolf1728):

arc length = radius • central angle in radians arc length = 6 • 60° * PI / 180 arc length = 6 • PI / 3 arc length = 2 • PI
