In graphing, what is a 'turn'?
what you flip the shape to another quadrant
@INeeDhElp1., so, "turn" is another way of saying "rotation"?
No, it isn't a rotation.
no rotation would be a flip so let me correct that it could be 30 , 50, 90 degrees etc
It isn't either of those. I probably should have clarified. There are only two options to this (since I know one of them is right): When the line of the graph touches the x-axis and goes back the direction it came, or when the line of the graph just turns back around whether it's on the x-axis or not (so one of the humps). If that makes sense.
A turn is a rotation, not a flip, nor a reflection in any quadrants. It's just a rotation.
its the second answer
Also, a flip is a reflection. (like you're flipping the shape over or reflecting it over an imaginary line.
Okay, so it's just when there's a turn in the direction that the graph's line is going, whether it's just a touch to the x-axis or not?
yeah pretty much, its hard to explain in words if i had paper i could show you alottt easier lol
Ahah, it's fine, I just have a quiz including this next period and I wanted to make sure I had it right. Thank you!
And sorry for making it kind of confusing.
nah its fine i understand i do it to sometimes lol no worries i got it once you explained it
