A company decided to pass a policy banning cell phones on their property. A group of employees collected signatures to protest. Many of the co-workers who signed the petition were later fired because the petition was deemed disruptive. The employees sued the company, claiming their employer violated their Constitutional Rights. What is the likely outcome of this lawsuit? The employees will win, because the Constitution prevents them from being fired without due process. The employees will win, because the Constitution guarantees the right to speak freely on a cell phone. The company will win, because their employees were guilty of slander. The company will win, because the company is a private institution and speech can have consequences.

Political parties often use different words when talking about a controversial issue. Republicans sometimes say they favor "cutting government waste." Democrats might refer to such cuts as "an assault on retirement" or "putting teachers out of work." If a news network used only the words that one party favors, it would be demonstrating Objectivity Free press Symbolism Bias *thank you

Pedro is thinking about buying U.S. savings bonds. However, there is a financial institution controlled by the government that may actively discourage Pedro from buying bonds. How and why would such a financial institution do this? Stocks on Wall Street may be doing quite well, encouraging Pedro to invest there instead of buying securities. The U.S. Treasury might refuse to sell securities to Pedro, because it does not have any bonds to sell. The Federal Reserve could raise the price of securities, to encourage Pedro to buy other things instead. Banks might raise their interest rates, encouraging Pedro to deposit his money there instead of buying securities.
