Do ya know how to find a slope of a line..? Ill medal you and Fan you! :o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the formula is \[\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1? }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well slope of a line is rise/run simply we if look at at graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the points seem to have a difference of up 1 (rise of 1) and right 2 (run of 2) so the slope is 1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this would be the easiest method with a drawn graph

OpenStudy (ericdl):

Slope formula = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) Line given: (4,4) (-4,0) Slope = (0 - 4) / (-4 - 4) Slope = -4/-8 Slope = 1/2

OpenStudy (dobby1):

rise over run so for example for each of your points that you have listed your line goes up one and over 2 so your slope is 1/2
