OpenStudy (firejay5):

@Hero @zepdrix

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for #2 remember that no 1 side can be longer than the other 2 added together

OpenStudy (firejay5):

I got #2 down pat it's just the other ones and I completely don't know how to do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on #4 remember that the largest side is always opposite the largest angle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on #3 you do not have enough information to determine side length you need at least 1 length measurement to use any method of finding the others

OpenStudy (firejay5):

@Hero Where it says "Check Your Understanding"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and #1 idk because i forgot my formulas =/ sorry

OpenStudy (ranga):

For 1, 3 & 4: Largest angle has the largest side opposite to it. For 2: Sum of two sides of a triangle should always be greater than the third side.

OpenStudy (firejay5):

is there a formula to use for #1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o never mind i read it wrong

OpenStudy (ranga):

For #1 first find the missing angle. The three angles of a triangle add to 180.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bigger the angle=bigger the side oppisite it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you need more help just ask hope i could help

OpenStudy (firejay5):

@ranga It's 45 for the last angle measure

OpenStudy (ranga):

Yes. So the angles in decreasing order are: 75 > 60 > 45 So the sides opposite to them will follow the same order: x > z > y

OpenStudy (firejay5):

How do you do #4

OpenStudy (ranga):

one side is b. Another side is b + 2. You are adding 2 to b so the b + 2 side must be greater than b. Another side is b - 1. You are subtracting 1 from b. So b - 1 must be smaller than b. Put them in order you have b + 2 > b > b - 1 So the angle opposite to the sides must follow the same order: So angle O must be the largest angle.
