OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

hey how do you get to standard form from point slope i forgot lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

standard form is: Ax + By = C, where ABC are integers and A is not negative.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

y - yo = m(x-xo) y= mx -m xo + yo -mx + y= -m xo + yo mx - y= m xo - yo should suffice

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

wait x1 or x2 idk thats the part im confused on

OpenStudy (amistre64):

point slope form uses a slope, m, and a point (xo,yo)

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

its y-y1=slope(x-x1) i googled it lol thanks anyway

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the subindex used is immaterial :) as long as you know what part of the form identifies the point, and what part identifies the slope; the rest of it is moot

OpenStudy (hrhsbull):

yeah i just forgot how to do it for a bit my boyfriend fried my brain lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck :)
