My book mentions commensurable. It is supposed to be a mathematics term. What does this mean. I tried Wikipedia and Google and I still don't understand it. It is used in this context "The hypotenuse of a right-angled isosceles triangle with the sides of unit length is not commensurable with the unit of length."

". . . in a ratio equal to a ration of integers." from the IMac OSX Dictionary.
