OpenStudy (anonymous):

Real numbers are number from 0 to negative infinity and 0 to positive infinity, oh sorry I let Jamie do it :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll* Here's where it starts from...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do real numbers include decimals?

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

try to *cough* explain it first.. >.> but lol now that you know, a real number is ANYTHING except for this: \(\sqrt{-2}\) square roots with a negative value within. :)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

so, to answer your question, decimals can be real numbers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Number 2 is the one im having trouble with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry Jamie, this is your question, go right ahead :) Anyways for future reference this is split into two categories, rational and irrational, irrational cannot be represented by a the quotient of two integers, they do not terminate (or stop, they go forever)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

right :P but both rational and irrational numbers can be categorized as real

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Remember that real number include rational and irrational numbers, meaning that real number has every one you can think of ranging from Integers, whole numbers and natural numbers, so for example if N was all factors that are also real numbers ehh.. wait I don't want to be wrong, please explain Jamie?
