Suppose that H(x) varies inversely with x and H(x) = 50 when x = 0.25. What is H(x) when x = 2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If x and H(x) vary inversely, then x H(x) = k we will find k, by substituting x = 0.25 and H9X) = 50 so .25(50) = k k = 12.5 So our equation is x H(x) = 12.5 So now, we want H(x) when x = 2, substitute, we get 2 H(x) = 12.5 H(x) = 6.25
