Please help. solve using elimination or substitution. {-x-y-2z=9 -2x-2y-z=1 -x-y+z=-10} all in same bracket.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where are you stuck at, becuase there are a lot of steps in this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply 3rd equation by 2 add to 1...thats ur first eqn add 2nd and 3rd eqn......that your 2nd eqn do the same for those two equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so after I mult the 3rd equation by 2 I got -2x-2y+2=20 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

+2z**

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add it to first eqn then z will be cancelled

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then normally add 3rd eqn to 2nd eqn in that equation z will also cancel out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in the same manner you have to cancel out x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and you will get the value of y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the addition portion, it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got that blank

OpenStudy (anonymous):

!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh for the answer I got -3x+-|dw:1383116283989:dw|
