OpenStudy (anonymous):

does an electron microscope have an occular lens?

OpenStudy (abb0t):

I don't think so. You might be thinking of a compound light microscope.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't think it would need one.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is no, it does not have an occular lens.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

isn't the occular lens the lens you look through? I know compound light microscopes have them, is it just called the eyepiece? ><

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Adding an eyepiece would just be a waste of room and unnecessary parts. The electron microscope transmits images on a screen like a computer screen and the person should have a better view this way than through a small piece.
