hartnn (hartnn):
1 m = 100 cm
1 cm = 10^-2 m
10^-6 m = 106-6 *100 cm = 10^-4 cm
OpenStudy (christos):
1 cm^3 = how many m^3 ? @hartnn
hartnn (hartnn):
1cm = 10^-2 m
1cm^3 = (10^-2)^3 m = 10^-6 m
OpenStudy (christos):
so am I allowed to do (1.52 * 10^-6 m) / (1 * 10^-6 m)
OpenStudy (christos):
? @hartnn

sorry, i don't understand what doubt you have...
OpenStudy (christos):
(1.52 cm^3) / (1mm) = (1.52 * 10^-6 m) / (1 * 10^-6 m) ?
hartnn (hartnn):
1mm = 10^-3 m actually
hartnn (hartnn):
but how does mm come into picture ?
OpenStudy (christos):
sorry I meant 1μm

then its correct
hartnn (hartnn):
wait
hartnn (hartnn):
(1.52 cm^3) / (1mm) = (1.52 * 10^-6 m^3) / (1 * 10^-6 m)
OpenStudy (christos):
ooh , why ?
OpenStudy (christos):
I thought 1cm^3 = (10^-2)^3 m = 10^-6 m

hartnn (hartnn):
oops, i made the mistake,
1cm^3 = (10^-2)^3 m^3 = 10^-6 m^3
the dimensions will not change
it remains as length^3
OpenStudy (christos):
aah ok, thanks man :)
hartnn (hartnn):
welcome ^_^
