What is the slope of a line parallel to 10x - 5y = 8? Can someone show me how to solve it? because I thought I was doing it right but I keep getting a wrong answer

okay the first thing u need to do is arrange the equation in a gradient form. so 5y = 10x-8. note that i moved y to the other side. then u make divide both sides by 5 to get y alone. y= 2x-8/5 so the slope that is parallel would be 2 as parallel lines have the same gradient.
