e^(-2x) ln(5x) is the product of two functions, namely, e^(-2x) and ln (5x). So when you want the derivative of the product of two functions, you need the product rule.
If f(x) g(x) is the product of two functions, then its derivative is: f(x) g ' (x) + g(x) f '(x).
So let's see how you take the derivative of e^(-2x) ln (5x).
(e^-2x)(1/5)+(ln5x)(e^-2x)?
