four problems, please help, will give best response

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll pick one of them...say #4. It could be factored by grouping: We will factor the first two separately, and then the second two terms. Factor: x^3 - 2x^2 Factor: -49x + 98 So you factor those two, and I'll help you finish the problem.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. First one, x^3 - 2x^2..we take out what is common between both terms, the greatest common factor, GCF. what is the greatest common factor between x^3 and 2x^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Isn't it x^2? Becuase x^2 goes into x^3 and x^2 goes into 2x^2.
