OpenStudy (shamil98):

The function f(x) = (a^x) + 4 will never cross the x -axis?. True or false.

OpenStudy (raden):

f(x) would cross the x -axis, if f(x) = 0, in other words : (a^x) + 4 = 0 is there solution for x ?

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

It would be true, because it has a restriction b^x can't equal 0 Plus in this example the graph is shifted up 4 units, the new restriction would be at 4.

OpenStudy (timaashorty):

crap. I just broke into pieces.

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Here sham, go to about the middle of the page in the blue: http://tutorial.math.lamar.edu/Classes/Alg/ExpFunctions.aspx
