Math question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the question? ^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Domain.

OpenStudy (rsadhvika):

you may call INPUT to function as DOMAIN and OUTPUT to function as RANGE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Independent variable is another name for the input of a function. It is a command that can only be used inside the body of a function. The domain of a function is the set of input values.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I thought it was variable, are you positive that it's domain?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

COuld you help me on this question as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@GirlByte

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A=1 B=2 C=3 D=4 E=5 F=6 It's like a code... Just follow them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any questions? :b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hint its C or D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C!!!! Haha, thanks!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're correct ^_^ No problem! Just tag me to any question and I'll be there in a heartbeat lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So this one here has a pattern, like 1 times 1 is 1, 2 times 2 is 4, and it goes on, it multiplies. so is it double the number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand the question, I just need guidance (:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you are correct! The first number in the ordered pair is multiplied by itself to get the second number Example (8,64)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

^_^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't see a pattern in this one? /:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes... We need to change the numbers to clarify the pattern...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok first off. let x be the first number and y the second so (x,y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh no the answer is B actually since the first number gradually goes up! Which is (1,y),(2,y),(3,y),(3,y) we need to change it to (1,y),(2,y),(3,y),(4,y) the second three is the one we should change.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh I see what you did there!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one of these doesn't represent a function, I put A and got it wrong :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? Whats the question? I can't see it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The question is which one is not a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can tell if a set of coordinates will make a function or not by seeing if it is true that for every 'x' value there is only one 'y' value. In your case, B and C has no 'x' value repeated with a different 'y' value so it is indeed a function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree, but it marked A wrong :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because the x repeats

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Their isn't a D, x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL Then it is C! sorry I thought you covered up letter A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CX

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay, I got a 100 on my test, I appreciate your help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool! If you need anymore help. Don't hesitate to call me! :3 If you could fan me that would help me out alot too lol
