how do you multiply radicals

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

\( \sqrt{a} \cdot \sqrt{b} = \sqrt{a b} \)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When multiplying radicals, you must multiply the numbers OUTSIDE (O) the radicals AND then multiply the numbers INSIDE (I) the radicals. http://www.regentsprep.org/regents/math/algebra/ao1/Lmultdiv.htm

hope this helps

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

\(a \sqrt{b} \cdot c \sqrt{d} = ac \sqrt{bd}\)
