small earthquakes can alter the orbit, so if all 6 billion people, say 150 lb each so 900 billion pounds (9x10^11), with earth weighing 1.31708565 × 10^25 pounds, jumped at once, it would shift very, very slightly, the extend dependent on how high people jump, where the majority of mass is located, etc. Of course, if we could get everyone to jump at once, society would be so vastly different that something huge would happen to earth politically.

Conservation of momentum states that for people to jump in the air, the earth must have been pushed ever so slightly in the opposite direction. Since the majority of the earth's population is in the northern hemisphere, it would be pushed to the south in its orbit.
