What is the Enlightenment philosophy of social contract? the idea that society should submit to absolute monarchs the idea that people surrender some individual freedoms in return for safety and security the belief that government should not interfere in a nation's economy the belief that society is generally cruel, selfish, and greedy by nature @GirlByte
I thank you so much girl byte amazing help i will let you know the score
Without having to look it up, I know the answer is-- the idea that people surrender some individual freedoms in return for safety and security
Actually, I don't think any of the answers are very good, but the one I picked comes the closest.
Thank You Donald ... I do apoligize for being like that ,Its just really late its 2:15 AM and my mom is really on my butt about being up so late plus i am hungry so thanks
Rousseau I believe, cam up with the idea. It was that everyone is in life together and that we should all help each other out as best we can.
Yes I am sorry as well but I'm sos101 twin brother and I'd defend him because he's family.
True
Okay. No hard feelings. I was a teenager once. *Cough* *Wheeze* :)
lmao how old are you if u dont mind me asking?
Lmao
@HelloGoodmorning Best Response Medals 0 Yes I am sorry as well but I'm sos101 twin brother and I'd defend him because he's family. Cool. And i think that has a lot to do with the Social Contract. Got you interested in it, I'll bet.
I'm *gasping for breathe* 58. :(
lol
lmao aww ur 58
Well, in a way it's an accomplishment. I made it this far.
58 dang man Real sorry I don't usually disrespect my elders
So, what other questions are you seeking the answers to?
Ah, that's okay. I'm not old in my head. I sort of look at it like everyone online is more or less the same age, becuase it's your personality that people see, know what I mean?
Yeah I see what you mean man i'm really never immature just idk im tired man
Okay. Do like your sense of humor though. Hahaha
loll thanks haha yours aint bad either
Now I feel bad for being rude from before *sigh
Hey, any time you want to talk about some topic, let me know, and we can investigate it. I find it very enjoyable. :)
It's okay.
Why did many Italians support Mussolini during The Great Depression? He lowered unemployment and improved the national economy. He granted religious toleration for non-Catholics. He decreased the size of the military and reduced government spending. He supported democratic reforms.
They say its a
Since you have to make a guess, which one do you think it is. Remember this was during a Depression.
ehh umm d no b no a no c
lol im jp
Lmao
I know that what Hitler did with reinvigorating the economy of Germany was astonishing. Too bad he went to war. He took a country that was completely bank-rupt and nearly conquered Europe and Africa with it.
It's A. The most likely suspect. Bad economy turned into a good economy will turn you into a hero.
thank you!
We don't have any heroes in the US right now. :(
You're welcome. I'm going off line. So long for now.
nooooooooooooooooooo dont leave me :(((((((
Hahaha. Really? Do you have more work to do?
I only have 6 more :'(
It really looks like they are throwing tons of questions at you. Doesn't make any sense to me why they're jumping around like that. But Okay. Let's give it a shot. BTW, if your textbook stinks, you can watch youTube videos. I watch 'em and they're fun. Been watching one on Julius Caesar. Truly an interesting guy.
How did World War I assist the women's suffrage movement in the United States? American women refused to serve in the armed forces unless they got the right to vote. The conflict allowed Americans to see that allowing women to vote was a positive step in Europe. Congress had focused solely on the conflict, allowing suffragists to get legislation passed. Women served valuable jobs during war efforts, breaking down resistance to suffrage.
Which one makes the most sense?
Lmaoo thank you for the advice Donald
Keep in touch. http://opencoursescholar.wordpress.com/ That's my blog. I love to chat about subjects. I like learning new things. Maybe instead of it being boring, we can make it fun.
Uhh i think its D , and wow really! thats cool i will keep in touch
I read Casear's Commentaries. Now, I know the name sounds boring, but it's about his battles in Gaul, and he's quite a good writer. Really a guy's kind of book.
Yup. It's D. Makes sense, right? With all the guys off to war, they had to let women do jobs they didn't have before.
What's next?
Sounds awesome I will check it out
okay thanks
The PATRIOT Act was passed by the U.S. Congress in 2002 in response to the Oklahoma City bombing the September 11 terrorist attacks the London Underground bombing concerns over anthrax attacks and bioterrorism
Oh, this one is a snap. Which one do you think it is?
EVEN if you had no idea, you could reason it out.
i think the september 11 terrorist attack wasnt it arounf that time?
Yeah. The clue there is that they gave the date. We know that 9/11 happened in 2001, so if the PA was passed in 2002, that's the most likely answer.
Oh that makes sense lol
this next one is a map
K.
Use Attach file, and you're good to go.
According to the map, Yugoslavia is a cluster of several Baltic nations was a satellite nation of the United States after 1948 became a part of the Soviet Union in 1948 was not part of the Eastern Bloc
Lol thank you!
Okay. You can tell by looking at the map what it probably is. Must confess that I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure I know the answer. Give it a shot.
okay i dont know about a because i dont know what the baltic nations are i dont know if its b because it saying something about ending something not starting something , same with c , and d is kinda a lil obvious but still not sure because how could south be apart of the east so this one is a little tricky for me
tht's still very impressive reasoning you're using there. It's basically the same that I used.
Lol Why thank you! :D
There ARE a cluster of names on that map. But once we look at the names, we know that it AIN'T Yugoslavia. I mean pfft. Germany was never a part of Yugoslavia. So, it can't be that.
Lol exactly
To get to the point, because it's getting late, you're right about D being the most likely answer. With the position that it has on that map, it couldn't possibly--or most likely wouldn't be part of the Eastern bBloc. There's a country between it and the East.
I might be wrong about that.
Lol its fine its the one that makes the most sense to me
Albany is right beneath it, and I know nothing about Albania.
lol
Cluster of several Baltic nations. That's the one.
Loll Okay awesome
To know it for certain you'd have to spend more time researching it, but I'm convinced that it. I know someone from that area, so I'm relying on my gerneral fund of knowledge.
What's next?
Actually having fun with this game. :)
oh okay awesome and lol what game :D?
The image above represents which foreign policy theory of the United States? détente isolationism brinksmanship the domino theory
This Sherlock Holmes game, where we're trying to deduce answers from given clues.
Lmaoo You are a very funny guy
I try my best. By the way, I noticed a couple of your wisecracks, and I really did laugh out loud. Haha
Okay. This one is another snap. Which one might you rule out because it seems too obvious?
lolll thanks u, And for this one i know its pretty obvious its probably the domino theory
Yeah. Sometimes, they'll ask a question, and you might say to yourself, "Hey,it can't be that. It's too easy." But most of the time, if it seems like the right answer, it is. Do you know much about the Vietnam War?
Obviously the Vietnamese called it The American War.
lol thats true and no i actually dont know about the vietnam war ive heard about it but i know its prob an american war something like that
yep i had a clue lol
It's the domino theory because it's about communism spreading all over Asia. At around 1950-1970s, Soviet Union were already communism and wanted to spread it. So it first spread underneath it, (China). Then it continues. They wanted Korea to become communism, but failed (Korea War). And so on. I saw this and kinda made sense out of it
It's an incredibly important event in modern US history. Put it on your to-do list, because you can't possibly know what's going on without a good grasp of it. The Soviet Union and the US were basically fighting each other by what I would call proxy, where someone else is doing something on your behalf or whatever. In this case the Vietnamese were caught in the middle. President Johnson didn't seek reelection Kissinger is a war criminal, and the Cambodian "genocide" was one result of it.
Oh, yeah. You got it. I wasn't looking up while I was typing. You hit the nail on the head.
ohhh huh i should know this lol
lol thxs!
You bet!!
Which was not a short-term effect of the U.S. decision to drop atomic bombs over Japan? the acceptance of the Three Non-Nuclear Principles radiation sickness due the effects of the bomb Japanese citizens experiencing flash burns to the skin black rain coming from the sky
I don't know the answer, but I know which ones it isn't--so I know the answer by elimination. The key is "short-term". Which of those are short-term?
lol i think its a
radiation sickness, flash burns, and black rain are all short-term, aren't they?
