Can someone explain to me about rate of change and how to find it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rate of change is the slope. Slope = Vertical Change / Horizontal Change = Rise / Run So to find the slope is \[y _{2} - y _{1} \div x _{2} - x _{1}\] This is the rise (y2 minus y1) divided by the run (x2 minus x1). That is the slope which is your rate of change.
