6/21 x 5/20 On the first choice, 6 of the 21 people are independents, so the prob of getting an Indep on the first pick is 6/21 On the 2nd choice, there are now only 20 people remaining to choose from, and 5 of them are independents...so the prob of getting an Indep on the 2nd pick after picking an Indep on the first pick is 5/20
