For my juniors who are having a hard time preparing for CBSE boards. Here is an article that I found on the net which includes some advice and tips. Share it with your friends so that they can do well too :) @Aadarsh
How to get 90% in CBSE Class 12 Board Exam ? Today every year millions of students appear in the Class 12 board exam, conducted by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education). But only few percent of students succeed in getting more than 90 percent of marks. Poor guidance is one of the major causes responsible for the poor result of many students. CBSE Class 12 board exam is not as tough as many students used to feel. An average student who used to study on a regular basis can easily go on to hit 80 percent of marks in this exam.Nowadays obtaining good marks in the board exam is very necessary. In many competitive exams like NEET for medical students and CBSE Mains and Advanced test for engineering and IIT students, candidates are selected based on their board exam marks for appearing in these exams. Let us see some measures by adopting which, a student can increase his marks in the board exam.:>>>> a) Try to study on a regular basis and do not leave it too late for completing your syllabus b) Complete your project, activity and other practical work as early as possible, so that you can get proper time to complete your syllabus on time c) Give special emphasis on those subjects in which you are weaker d) Special attention should be given on revising those chapters which you have already completed e) In subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, solve 5-10 question daily to attain constancy in your preparation f) First of all, try to finish easier chapters in which you are more comfortable. It will boost your confidence g) Do not study at late night. It is not going to help your body. Instead sleep as early as possible and wake up early in the morning. In morning you will find it easier in learning your chapters h) Do not take undue pressure or stress on your mind. It is only going to harm you i) Read NCERT books regularly. CBSE board exam question papers are completely based on this book. j) Do not neglect the diagrams of Biology book or they can tease you in the examination k) Take balanced diet and try to remain healthy l) Take regular breaks during your study m) Try to complete your syllabus till January and dedicate February in doing revision work of various subjects. CBSE generally conducts board exam in the month of March. n) Leave those chapters which you are unable to memorise. It’s better to become master of one chapter than becoming slave of all. Wasting much time on a single chapter in last days is not wise. In board exam, each chapter generally carries 4-5 marks on an average. o) On examination day don’t think about those chapters which you have not remembered. Feel confident about those lessons which you have learned well. It will increase your confidence and will remove your stress.
Thanks a lot for the tips....... I will try my best to follow these.....@AravindG bhai.......
thanx :')
You forgot to mention some other important points these are bonus points B1) Enjoy your subject.. If you just look at the syllabus and the textbook, it gets boring and very cut and dry. Explore more about each concepts going online, learn about the applications of it, write articles etc. B2) For Physics especially, SOLVE PROBLEMS.. most of the students mug up definitions, mug up derivations and get 90s in boards but find it tough and do miserable in competitives.. why? because, most never concentrate on reasoning and applying skills which one should start developing right from the beginning. B3) For chemistry, sometimes its very difficult to remember reactions, but if you go over the net, u can see various people performing such experimens and showing it, so it will be fun and when you see it you can remember my advice is.. don't just stick to syllabus and definitions and standard derivations.. trust me that will not do you any good.. strive to learn concepts, going beyond the syllabus and enjoying the subject. Make them a part of your life... keep thinking about it .. may seem nerdy, but once u get the hang of it.. its fun.. and you ll not only excel in academics, but you can go on to be a big asset, and become innovative... Today although we have thousands of engineers graduating from IITs from india and millions from others, i don't see any innovation happening. The only thing i get to read in news papers are things that are innovated by 15 year olds.. goes to show how pathetic our higher education system is.. so my hearty request.. go beyond the syllabus, don't study for exams.. study cause you want to learn the rules of the universe, learn nature behaves and then use this knowledge and invent things to make our lives better and contribute to society :)!
