@Directrix ??

@Yttrium ??

Directrix (directrix):

Refer to that right triangle trig ratio chart from last night. tan(39) = h/500 is the equation you want to solve for h.

Directrix (directrix):

Here's that chart for your reference in case you can't locate the one from earlier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

404.892 ?

Directrix (directrix):

Yes. Do you round to the nearest integer or hundredth? Or, is that part of the instructions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no not for this one lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and thank you c:

Directrix (directrix):

You are welcome.

@ganeshie8 hey can you help me.. based on this problem what trigonometric function will not be appropriate to solve for h?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@IMStuck can u help me ^^^^ with that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@paki hi can you help me with this^^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ganeshie8 hi can you help me. which trigonometric equation will not be appropriate to find the height of the bird... such as sine cosine and tangent... tangent is appropriate so it is either cosin or sine can you help me choose @paki @IMStuck

OpenStudy (paki):

@saifoo.khan please help here...

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Eazi

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

@gabs15 : write down the three basic trig ratios.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its sine=opp/adj cosine= adj/hyp tangent=opp/adj @saifoo.khan

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Right. Now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry sine= opp/hyp

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

How see the values you have been given and the one you have to find. You will notice that there is NO hypotenuse in the question. So we have to use the ratio which has opposite and adjacent sides.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is the correct way to do it.. but i have to find one that is not correct and then explain why @saifoo.khan

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@saifoo.khan are you still there?

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

Yes. Where are you stuck?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

finding the incorrect trig ratio and explaining why @saifoo.khan
