I don't understand how to figure out triangle lengths and utilizing slope to determine a kind of triangle, but my homework questions dictate it so. http://prntscr.com/22kie9

OpenStudy (ranga):

The triangles are all similar. So the lengths of the sides will all be proportional.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, but how does one calculate proportional? That's what I'm having trouble with. And I don't know how to apply that to the second question.

OpenStudy (ranga):

Triangles SWN and STP are similar. Therefore, ST/SW = TP/WN ST/SW = 3/4 Therefore, TP/WN = 3/4 TP/26 = 3/4 TP = 26 * 3 / 4 = ?

Thank you! That was amazing! Thank you for putting it a lot more simply than how I was trying to figure it out.

OpenStudy (ranga):

You are very welcome.
